Bündte
The Delicate One
Enchanting aromas of red fruits, subtly underscored by delicate toasted notes.
Flattering and enchanting on the palate, with a soft, harmonious structure.
A wine for the senses.
The wines of Bündte are characterized by their delicate structure, pronounced fruitiness, and remarkable finesse on the palate. They impressively reflect the unique characteristics of the vineyard and demonstrate that Bündte is a site with great potential for the future.
The Bündte vineyard is one of the oldest and highest in Jenins, situated at about 640 meters and covering roughly 1.5 hectares. Its cool climate and the stony, sandy soils from the Rätikon Massif ensure late grape ripening. The resulting wines are delicate and fruit-forward.

Vineyard
The vines have been organically farmed since 2016 and were planted between 2017 and 2019. The Monopol vineyard Bündte is one of Jenins’ highest vineyards, situated at an elevation of 645 meters above sea level. The name Bündte has the same meaning as “Clos” in Burgundy: a vineyard enclosed by walls, covering an area of approximately 1.5 hectares.
Production
The Bündte is fermented with a 60% proportion of whole grapes, spontaneously and in open stainless steel tanks. To keep mechanical stress as low as possible, we press the mash down only with our feet. This prevents the extraction of unwanted tannins. The wine is then aged for 12 months in 225-liter French barriques, 30% of which are new oak.
